Fees and Insurance
As a private practitioner, I request that fees be paid in full at the time you schedule your appointment. If you schedule online, conveniently pay by credit card using PayPal or Stripe, or e-transfer. If you are unable to pay online I accept payment by cash at the office.
If paying the regular session fee is a struggle for you, a fee reduction will be considered on an individual basis. A sliding fee scale is available or coupon discounts are offered to those in need. Feel free to discuss fees directly by contacting my office at email@example.com.
If you attend a church they may be able to help you with the cost of counselling if you are unable to afford your sessions. Please ask your church and if they need to discuss your situation, I'd be happy to work with them.
Let me know if I need to provide you with a receipt so you can claim your fees through Green Shield Canada or SSQ Insurance. Other insurance companies may cover part or all of the counselling fee, so if you'd like to be reimbursed through them you'll need to check with them and provide them with my designation, CPC - Reg #20140170 (Certified Professional Counsellor). I am registered with PACCP - Reg #262AB04 (Professional Association of Christian Counsellors and Psychotherapists) and ACTA - Reg #1522 (The Association of Counselling Therapy of Alberta).
I am a provider for a number of Employment Assistance Programs (EAPs) which may provide short-term, limited, free counselling for you or your family. If you do not know whether you have access to EAP, your HR department should be able to help and provide you with the contact information for their EAP provider. To use my services ask for Lorna Barnes (Loewen) at Oak Tree Counselling.
